Papad, also known in India as Papadam or Appalam, is a savory and crunchy snack that is served as an appetizer or a side dish across households in India. From a basic Dal rice or roti platter to a South Indian platter of sambar or rasam rice, the dishes feel incomplete without a crispy papad on the side. The papad is also consumed as a savory snack while sipping your evening tea. It is the healthiest form of snack as it is low in calories and provides you with the right amount of nutrition.

Adya Organics brings to you our gluten-free freshly made Organic Papad that is free from preservatives and made using 100% organic methods. This 12 papad pack is vegetarian and available in three flavours, namely potato, jeera and mirchi.

What’s unique about, jeera and mirchi papad is that it is made using red rice. As we all know, red rice is power packed with fibre, iron and is known to reduce inflammation in the body, controls cholesterol levels and lowers blood pressure. Therefore, consumption of red rice in this form makes you healthy and takes care of your taste buds, providing that extra spice and crunchiness to them.

The dough for the papad is prepared by kneading and rolling the dough by hand. Potato Papad is made of potato, a pinch of rock salt and cold-pressed oil. It can also be indulged in during Navratri fast as it provides much needed energy boost while fasting.

Jeera Papad contains cumin, a pinch of rock salt, red rice and cold-pressed oil. Whereas, the Mirchi Papad contains similar ingredients, while only substituting cumin with mirchi. These two papad are made using Adya Organic Red Rice to make it delightfully thin and super crumbly.

Adya Organics Papad are power packed with natural and healthy unadulterated ingredients. It is important to note that this papad has a shelf life of 6 months, but can last longer if stored in a dry and hygienic place.

To prepare this Papad, use hot cold pressed oil to dry roast or fry the papad till it becomes crispy and ready to serve alongside a meal. One can also chop onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves and add them on top of the papad to serve it as a delightful snack.
