Besan ke laddu is a traditional Indian sweet made from gram flour (besan), ghee, sugar, and various nuts and spices. Here is a simple recipe to make besan ke laddu:
Ingredients:
1 cup besan (gram flour)
1/2 cup ghee
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds, cashews, and pistachios)
1 tsp cardamom powder
A pinch of saffron (optional)
Instructions:
In a pan, heat the ghee and add the besan. Roast the besan on low-medium heat until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. This process will take about 15-20 minutes. Keep stirring constantly to avoid burning.
Once the besan is roasted, remove it from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
Add the sugar, cardamom powder, saffron, and chopped nuts to the besan and mix well.
Take a small portion of the mixture and roll it into a ball using your palms. Repeat this process to make more laddus.
You can also give a unique shape to the laddus by pressing them in laddu molds, or by shaping them with your hands.
Once the laddus are formed, store them in an airtight container and let them set for a couple of hours before serving.
Note: You can adjust the amount of sugar and ghee according to your preference. You can also add other ingredients such as coconut flakes or dried fruits to give a unique taste to the laddus.
