FAQ
Is Kachi Ghani groundnut oil good for health?
Kachi Ghani groundnut oil is a type of oil that is extracted from groundnuts (also known as peanuts) using the traditional cold-pressed method known as Kachi Ghani. In this process, the groundnuts are pressed at low temperatures to retain the natural flavor, aroma, and nutritional benefits of the oil. Kachi Ghani groundnut oil is known for its distinctive nutty flavor and is commonly used in Indian cuisine for cooking, frying, and as a flavor enhancer. It is considered a healthier alternative to refined oils due to its natural extraction process and higher nutrient content.
What is the difference between Kachi Ghani oil and cold pressed oil?
Kachi Ghani oil and cold-pressed oil are both extraction methods used to produce natural and unrefined oils. However, there are some differences between them. Kachi Ghani is a traditional Indian method of oil extraction that involves crushing the oilseeds at a low temperature without any external heat or chemicals. On the other hand, cold-pressed oil refers to the process of extracting oil from seeds or nuts at a controlled temperature below 122°F (50°C). While both methods retain the natural flavor, aroma, and nutrients of the oil, the term cold-pressed is more commonly used internationally, while Kachi Ghani specifically refers to the traditional Indian method.
Can we eat groundnut oil daily?
Yes, groundnut oil can be consumed daily as part of a balanced diet. It is a good source of healthy fats, vitamin E, and other nutrients. However, it is important to consume groundnut oil in moderation, as it is calorie-dense. The American Heart Association recommends that fats, including oils, should make up a moderate portion of the daily calorie intake. It is also advised to choose high-quality groundnut oil, such as cold-pressed or expeller-pressed varieties, and to consider individual dietary needs and health conditions when incorporating it into daily meals.
